As part of a campaign to promote Ireland as a tourist destination, Tourism Ireland and its agency, McCann Erickson, came up with a unique competition that resulted in one lucky couple winning a trip around Ireland in a luxury taxi.

Digital agency unit9 created a web site to enable people to follow the antics of winners Ken and Shamilla, who were trailed by a film crew throughout their 10-day journey in September. They posted daily video reports on the site, and a each day they were given a task of varying degrees of difficulty. For each task successfully completed they received £1000.

Through the daily video reports, visitors to the site were able to see some of the top tourist destinations of Ireland. The site also included tourist information on all of the places the couple visited and downloadable fact sheets for each day of the trip, enabling potential tourists to plan their own trips.
