We are looking for an Interface Developer to join our industry leading team of consultants within our Interactive Media department.
The successful candidate will get to flex their muscles on some of the UK’s largest and influential web based projects. They will get to work in a fast moving, creative and challenging environment with exposure to the latest technologies and techniques.
Working as part of a multi-skilled Agile team, they will have the full weight and support of Conchango’s technical, strategic and creative teams alongside them all the way.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for demonstrable skills and a thorough understanding of the capabilities and limitations of following:
(X)HTML and CSS
You’ll need to take the designs and recreated to pixel perfection. You need to be able to hand code, making it clean, standards compliant and cross browser compatible.
Dynamic HTML and AJAX
You’ll need to know your accordions from your carousels, your Prototype from your jQuery and your DOM like it’s back of your hand.
Accessibility
We’re not just talking the W3C checklist. You need to know when and where to use hidden navigation, what should happen when Javascript is disabled and how the page will look when the font size is out of this world.
Desirable Skills
Use of Flash, both AS2 & AS3.
None browser technologies, e.g. mobile delivery.
OO development, relational databases and CMS.
Experience or desire to learn WPF, XAML, Silverlight and Expression Studio.

Training
Conchango provides formal training for its consultants within a career development programme. Formal training is provided on a highly customised basis and the best trainers and thought leaders are bought in from around the world to provide the best training possible in their discipline. Courses are tailored heavily around project needs and an individual’s career plan. All consultants are provided with relevant training, which may be course-based, online, book based or workshop based depending on an individual consultant’s preferred learning mode. This includes Microsoft Certification, Sun Certification, ISEB, ITIL & PRINCE2 certification and any other technology-specific training required.
Certain foundational training is required for all consultants. Conchango has 4 internal courses which all consultants will attend at some point which include Consultancy Skills training course, Sales & Negotiations workshops, Agile training including Agile sessions hosted by Mike Cohn (one of the founders of Agile) leading to Scrum Master Certification for all senior consultants.
