Details
Senior Flash Developers (AS2 / AS3) required by Conchango (a direct employer), one of Europe's leading Web Agencies (Forrester Wave 2006) and the UK s biggest independent technology and business consultancy.We re looking for a Flash Interface (AS2/AS3) Developers to join our industry-leading team of consultants within our Interactive Media department working with some of the largest retailers, media companies and retail banks (ie M&S, Tesco, Lloyds TSB, Barclays, Sky, FT)
You will get to flex your muscles on some of the UK s largest and most influential web-based projects. You will get to work in a fast-moving, creative and challenging environment with exposure to the latest technologies and techniques.
Working as part of a multi-skilled Agile team, you will have the full weight and support of Conchango s technical, strategic and creative teams alongside them all the way.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
We re looking for demonstrable expert skills and a thorough understanding of the capabilities and limitations of following:
Adobe Flash and ActionScript
You ll have years of experience bringing rich experiences alive through ActionScript 2 and 3. Having abandoned the Flash IDE, you code in Eclipse or similar and work collaboratively with other developers using code repositories and libraries.
OO, Design Patterns
You use OO and design patterns to create code that s flexible, extendible and reusable.
HTML and JavaScript
With your knowledge of these technologies, you re able to communicate with front-end developers to ensure a smooth and seamless integration of your applications.
Dynamic Data
You have experience building applications which communicate with a server. From loading a JSON file, sending an XML request to a web service, to the more integrated Flash Remoting (AMF).
Desirable Skills
While it s not absolutely required, we d be thrilled if you can demonstrate:
Knowledge of Adobe Flex and Air
Knowledge of lower level programming languages, e.g. Java, C#, C++
Knowledge of higher level programming platforms, e.g. XUL, Silverlight
Experience developing for mobile devices, e.g. FlashLite, J2ME, or Symbian
Experience with (or a desire to learn) WPF, JavaFX, or iPhone s Objective-C
