Innocent drinks to give first digital insights at BIMA Breakfast Bite

Article Date: 10th Apr 2008
As part of this year’s first series of educational ‘Breakfast Bites’, the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) is showcasing a presentation on innocent drinks: putting things into practice, by Ted Hunt, Digital Manager at innocent drinks. The event, which will take place on Tuesday 15th April from 8:30 – 10:00am, will reveal the brand’s current approach to its digital campaigns.

The discussion is the concluding session in the three part ‘Breakfast Bites’ series, hosting intimate gatherings at London’s Soho House. In this ‘Bite’ Ted will provide a look at some of the insights and lessons innocent have learnt from a ‘fall forward fast’ approach to digital. It will include thoughts on advocacy, word of mouth and the importance of integrating brand values into everything you do.
innocent drinks will use the breakfast as an opportunity to reveal how it embraced digital thinking and concepts such as participation, transparency, democratisation and permissions. The methods employed, since the company was founded in April 1999, have shown a genuine, results-proven, ongoing commitment to the media.
Ted Hunt explains, “We’ve been lucky enough to gain some thought provoking insights over the last few years through a ‘learning by doing’ approach. We’re pleased that BIMA’s ‘Breakfast Bites’ will give us the opportunity to share our thoughts with others in the industry as well as learning about external experiences of similar issues”.

“It’s the first time innocent has spoken publicly about our approach to digital specifically. Just like a good finger buffet there should be something for everyone, and we might not have time to do this again for a while” Ted adds.

Paul Walsh, BIMA Chair, says “Our ‘Breakfast Bites’ are designed to offer inspiration to people working in the digital world. The response to our Breakfast Bites sessions has been very positive and we are sure that attendees can learn from Ted’s experiences at innocent drinks.”
BIMA ‘Breakfast Bites’ is an education series from BIMA that showcases industry specialists speaking on the most prevalent issues of the day. ‘Bites’ provides a place to begin your thinking on a topic, facilitate easy networking and launch you into your day with some new ideas and insights. Past speakers have included Andrew Crysell from Ramp Industry and Stephanie Matthews from Channel 4.
Ted Hunt will be presenting at the BIMA Breakfast Bite from 8:30am - 10:00am on Tuesday April 15th at Soho House Members’ Club, W1.
